Last week, our Young Changemakers presented a cheque to Hospiscare, having raised an incredible £1,679.17 for the local hospice charity. It is a wonderful achievement, and one that reflects the compassion and commitment of our sixth form pupils.
The Young Changemakers programme gives our sixth form pupils the chance to work closely with Hospiscare throughout the year. Pupils take part in a series of workshops led by Hospiscare’s Learning and Development team, gaining a real insight into the vital work the charity does for families across our community. Alongside these workshops, pupils also volunteer their time and get involved in fundraising, supporting Hospiscare in the different ways it raises money throughout the year.
We are so proud of our Young Changemakers for the time, energy and generosity they have given to this partnership. Raising £1,679.17 for Hospiscare is a fantastic result, and it would not have been possible without their hard work and dedication. Partnerships like this one give our pupils a genuine sense of purpose beyond the classroom, helping them build empathy, teamwork and a lasting connection to their local community.
Well done to all our Young Changemakers on this brilliant achievement!
