Pre-Prep – Beyond the Curriculum

We offer before and after school care for working parents.

We understand that life is busy for families and working parents. We offer an early birds provision from 7.30am-8.30am for those parents who have an early start. At 8.30am the doors open for all pupils.

Late room provision starts at 3.30pm and takes place adjacent to Nursery. The children are able to remain in school until 5.30pm. Many children enjoy the opportunity to unwind after school and play with friends in a familiar environment.

Our trips are planned to complement the topic work that is being undertaken in school so that the children’s learning is enhanced by real life experiences.

Most importantly, we always have a lot of fun on our trips and usually try to build in time for an ice-cream on the seafront or a picnic in the park!

Recent visits include outings to a Torquay theatre, Exmouth marina, Greendale Farm and West Town Farm. We have also been delighted to welcome a touring pantomime and the English Touring Opera into school.

We are always very proud of our children’s behaviour on school visits and receive many compliments on their positive attitudes and good manners.

Special themed days and events create some of the most magical moments at school which we are all able to share together.

Events for the wider school community are held regularly. These include termly events, such as the Head’s parent coffee mornings and parent drop-in afternoons, and annual traditions, such as grandparents’ afternoon and foundation day.
