Twenty talented pupils from Upper Two are celebrating academic success after earning certificates in the prestigious UK Maths Trust Kangaroo Maths Challenge 2026.
The nationally recognised competition, designed to stretch and inspire young mathematicians, saw pupils tackle a series of increasingly complex problems. Blending logic, creativity, and problem-solving skills, the challenge pushed participants beyond the classroom curriculum while keeping the experience engaging and enjoyable.
Our pupils rose to the occasion with enthusiasm, embracing the opportunity to test their abilities against some of the country’s brightest young minds. Their dedication and perseverance have now been rewarded with well-deserved certificates, marking an impressive achievement in a highly regarded mathematical competition.
Staff were delighted to see how much the pupils enjoyed the experience. Many participants commented on how the challenge made maths feel both exciting and rewarding, reinforcing their confidence and passion for the subject.
The celebrations may not be over just yet. Having recently completed the Junior Maths Challenge earlier this week, the school community is eagerly awaiting further results. With such strong performances already, anticipation is high for more certificates and another opportunity to recognise pupils’ hard work and success.
This latest accomplishment highlights the school’s commitment to nurturing curiosity, resilience, and excellence in mathematics—values that continue to inspire pupils to aim high and achieve their best.
