german trip

Our pupils are enjoying every moment of their school trip to Germany. Based in the historic town of Hildesheim, the group has already packed in lessons, sightseeing and a very glamorous day out in Wolfsburg. Here’s what they’ve been up to so far.

Arriving in Hildesheim

Everyone arrived safely on Wednesday and went off happily with their host families. Pupils spent the evening enjoying a meal together and getting to know the families who are welcoming them into their homes this week.

Lessons in a German School

On Thursday, pupils swapped their usual timetable for a few hours in the German school. They joined physics, biology, geography and art lessons, putting their language skills to the test in a real classroom setting.

Exploring Hildesheim from Above

After lessons, the group set off for a wander through Hildesheim. The highlight was a climb up the church tower, which rewarded everyone with a great view across the town and surrounding area.

A Day Out at Volkswagen Headquarters

Friday brought a train journey to Wolfsburg and a tour of Volkswagen (VW) headquarters. Pupils explored the site and spotted plenty of impressive cars along the way, from Lamborghinis and Bentleys to classic VW campers. No one bought anything, don’t worry!

A Weekend with Host Families

This weekend, pupils are spending time with their host families and the plans sound brilliant. There are Halloween parties to enjoy, football matches at Hannover’s stadium and trips into the Harz Mountains. And, of course, lots of German being spoken!

We’re so proud of how our pupils are embracing everything this school trip to Germany has to offer. Schönes Wochenende! 🇩🇪
