Refreshed from the half term break, many of our younger piano and string musicians took to the stage at Wednesday’s Informal Concert. 10 Violinists, along with Connor on the viola, Robert on the ‘cello and Marietta on the piano could all be heard, playing everything from a tango, and a rondeau, through to pieces by Beethoven, Paganini and Blackwell.
The junior school was especially well-represented, a testament to the success of the Exeter School String Instrument Scheme from which pupils benefit in Form 1 (Year 3). Our next Informal will be for our drummers and percussionists on Wednesday 4 March – all are welcome.
