The U11 girls’ hockey team enjoyed a fantastic day at the IAPS National Hockey Finals at Haileybury School in Hertfordshire, finishing an impressive third place nationally.
The team made an outstanding start, winning every match in their pool without conceding a single goal, a testament to their teamwork, determination and defensive strength. They carried this form into the knockout stages, securing a superb 4–0 victory in the quarter-final.
A closely contested semi-final saw the girls narrowly edged out 2–1, but they responded with admirable resilience. In the third-place play-off, they produced another confident performance to secure the win and claim the national bronze medal.
The girls represented the school extremely well in both their play and their attitude throughout the day. Thank you to Mrs Wopshott for her fantastic coaching and leadership, and congratulations to the whole team on a remarkable achievement.
