Careers Advisor visits junior school Library Club

Posted: 21st March 2024

Careers Advisor, Melanie Szender, came along to junior school Library Club to talk about future careers. Our pupils were fascinated to talk about their interests and skills and were introduced to various careers across different fields like STEM, arts, and community service and felt inspired and curious to dream big about their future careers. During her visit, Melanie also spoke to our librarians about a selection of books available in our library that explain career options. These books cover a wide range of professions, from firefighters and doctors to artists and scientists. Our librarians are working on posters and presentations to let their library borrowers know what is available, such as a book called ‘Careers You Might Never Have Heard of’.
