Third Form STEM presentations

Posted: 19th January 2024

Following a series of teacher-led sessions, Third Form STEM club members have been working collaboratively on their own group investigations over the last half term. They have come up with their own question to investigate and have devised their own methods. Some groups even designed and built specific apparatus to use for their experiments.
Their hard work was demonstrated in a lunch-time symposium event on Tuesday, where groups presented their projects to an audience of science staff, Sixth Form prefects and SLT including Ms Simpson.
Dr Smale commented “I was really impressed how confidently they talked about the experiments and how engaged they were with their results. They were explaining the results well and talking very scientifically for Third Form.”
