Exeter School pupils earn place in prestigious drama company

Posted: 19th May 2023

We are proud to announce that seven Exeter School pupils have earned a place in the National Youth Theatre (NYT) company after rigorous rehearsals and auditions. The NYT is one of the most prestigious youth drama programmes in the country and is notoriously difficult to get into, with 6,500 young people between the age of 14-25 applying each year, with only 700 places available nationally. To have Exeter School so well represented is an exceptional achievement by our pupils and is a huge testament to the quality of the performers we have here.

Congratulations to:

  • Lizzie (L5)
  • Hugo (L5)
  • Hattie (M5)
  • Minti (M5)
  • Sophie (U5)
  • Jasmine (U5)
  • Darcy Beau (U5)
  • Anna (L5) – who has earned a spot on the reserved list.

This is a fantastic achievement and we look forward to hearing how they get on as they chase their dreams of performing on the stage.
