Howard Dyer

Howard was appointed as a Governor in April 2025 and serves on the Finance and General Purposes Committee. He is a former pupil of Exeter School, holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG.

Howard brings extensive experience from a career in finance, investment banking and asset management. Most recently, he served for nine years as Senior Advisor to the Investment Committee at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), one of the world’s largest and most influential sovereign wealth funds. In this role, he advised on strategic investment and operational proposals, contributing to robust governance and long-term financial planning.

Howard is married with two children: his eldest attended the sixth form at Exeter School, and his youngest is a current pupil in the Senior School. After nearly a decade abroad, Howard and his family returned to Devon to enjoy its beaches, open spaces, and quality of life.

Exeter School Family Society Summer Fete

Come along and join the fun at our Family Society fete on Saturday 7 June. We’ll have stallholders promoting local businesses, some run by families in our school community. We’ll be supporting our school’s chosen charity, Hospiscare.
