Claire joined the board in March 2023, is Chair of the Education Committee and sits on the Welfare and Safeguarding Committee. Both her children attended Exeter School.
Claire has over 40 years’ experience of education both as a serving practitioner and in a number of leadership roles, working in a wide range of schools, some highly successful and some facing significant challenges.
As the Director of School Improvement for Ventrus Multi-Academy Trust, she is accountable for maintaining and raising the standards of academic achievement and pastoral support for 17 primaries and one secondary school across Devon.
Claire is also a serving Ofsted Inspector.
