We all had an amazing time on the Nice trip over half term! On Friday, the highlights included walking around Antibes in the glorious sunshine, and visiting the Picasso Museum. On Saturday we got the train to Monaco, where we visited the casino, as well as The Prince’s Car Collection, and the famous F1 hairpin bend, both of which the car fans among us found very exciting.
The highlight of the day was definitely when we went to the carnival after we’d got back, where Mr Hall took a selfie with a cosplayer and we got to witness his incredible and slightly questionable dancing. It was such a fun celebration with music, parade floats, and lots of our brilliant singing which I’m sure all the French people around us really appreciated.
Sadly, Sunday was our final day, so we made the most of the sunny weather with a walking tour of the old town. We then got some free time for lunch, during which we enjoyed exploring and practising our French at the beautiful flower market. In the afternoon we went to the Matisse museum, before catching a tram to the airport for our flight back to the UK. Overall, the Nice trip certainly lived up to its name!
