Upper Two (Year 6) pupils were delighted to welcome Graham Keene to the school this week, a local St Leonard’s resident who has climbed almost all of the world’s highest summits and is the oldest Brit to conquer Mount Everest.
The pupils loved learning about the Seven Summits and were fascinated to discover how each climb presents its own unique challenges and conditions.
With many Exeter Chiefs fans in the room, there was particular excitement when Graham shared that he revealed the new Chiefs flag at the very top of Everest, signed by the whole team!
We wish Graham the very best of luck as he prepares for his second attempt at Mount Denali, hoping to complete all seven summits. A huge thank you to Graham for taking the time to visit and inspire our pupils with his remarkable achievements.
