The Music Hall and beyond was filled with the rhythms and groove of the Informal Percussion/Drumming concert on Wednesday after school. Hosted by percussion teachers Mr Felton and Mr Crossen, the music began with the inaugural performance from the Percussion Group, featuring Agnes C, Wilfred C and Rupert S and Mr Felton.
The enthusiastic audience was then treated to solo performances from six of Mr Felton’s pupils followed by five of Mr Crossen’s, playing along to backing tracks of pieces by groups including Blur, The Beatles, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Coldplay.
If you missed this event, next week’s Jazz, Rock and Pop Mocktails concert, starting at 6pm with free entry, will provide another opportunity to get your feet tapping. Featuring Jazz Bands 1 and 2, Swunk, Swunkette and more, it promises to be an evening to remember.
