On Tuesday, a group of our cadets travelled to RAF St Athan for an exciting flying experience with the team from No. 1 Air Experience Flight (AEF).
After watching the safety briefs, our cadets’ knowledge was tested as they then had to conduct practical drills before going anywhere near a plane. This included opening the canopy of the GROB tutor and then safely bailing out and then how to parachute to safety back down to the ground.
They were then taught the correct technique to remove the parachute harness. All our cadets did themselves proud and represented the school and CCF as expected, answering all the questions correctly before they were all individually taken to the skies along the Welsh south coast.
