The 1st XV rugby team and 1st XI hockey team were in mid-week action in week 2 and both were in excellent form winning quite comfortably. The 1st XV played Richard Huish College in the first round of the national vase competition and put on an excellent show for the home crowd winning 41-19 with tries from Beau, Ed, Oscar, Charlie and a brace from captain Hugo. They progress to the next round where they will meet Ivybridge Community College later this term. The 1st XI girls hockey team were equally as impressive winning 8-0 against West Buckland thanks, in part, to a hat-trick for Yasmin. There was also a hat-trick for Jasmin in the 2nd XI match which resulted in a another winning start to the season, 6-0. We look forward to a busy first block weekend with the boys rugby teams (1st XV, 2nd XV, U16A, U15-U12 A&B) playing against QEH Bristol and the rest of the girls hockey teams (U12 – U15) competing against Wets Buckland. We look forward to welcoming parents on the side line to support.
