Brigadier Stephen P Hodder BSc (Hons) joined the Governing Body in June 2015 and sits on the Foundation Committee. He is a former pupil of the school and is the Honorary Colonel of the Exeter School Combined Cadet Force.
Following a full career in the Army, during which he commanded 43 (Wessex) Brigade and in his final appointment was the Commandant of the Royal School of Military Engineering Group, Steve worked for Teignbridge District Council with primary responsibility for legal, procurement, human resources, finance, ICT and business improvement support to the Council and its 124,000 residents. He took up his current role as Chief Executive of Wessex Reserve Forces’ & Cadets’ Association in the summer of 2015, based in Taunton.
Steve lives between Crediton and Dartmoor and runs a smallholding. He considers himself an ardent Devonian with a passion for rural enterprise, country pursuits and artisan food and drink. His interests centre on family, sailing and photography.
