Miles MacEacharn

Educated at Radley College and Bristol University, Miles qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte Haskins and Sells in London 1991. After a stint in their training department he worked in a variety of small and medium businesses in London and the South West, mainly in the technology and business services sectors.

Married to a teacher, Miles has been involved in the leadership and management of schools for many years. From 1999 to 2008 he was a Governor at his local primary school, for eight years of which he was Chair. He became Director of Finance at King’s Schools in Taunton in 2009 and became Director of Finance and Operations there in September 2017, before taking up his current role as Bursar at Exeter School in January 2018. He was instrumental in setting up King’s College, Doha in 2015 as well as being heavily involved with other overseas projects.

Miles is an ISI compliance team inspector and is on the board of the Independent Schools Bursars Association, where he chairs the finance, risk and assurance committee.
