Dan Ayling – Head of Exeter Pre-Prep School

Dan joined Exeter Pre-Prep School in September 2021 as Head, having previously held the roles of Head of Pre-Prep & Nursery at Manor House School in Surrey and Deputy Headteacher at ACE Tiverton Special School. Dan studied Education and English at Cambridge University and has taught across ages 2-16 in seven different maintained and independent schools in Cambridgeshire, London, Surrey and Devon. As PSHE subject leader, Dan teaches every class, every week, as well as leading daily assemblies. He is a serving ISI team inspector, a member of the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) and a founding member of the Chartered College of Teaching. Dan is also an Apple Teacher and a Microsoft Innovative Educator. In his spare time, he enjoys singing, reading and walking Ruffles, the school dog.
