Junior School

Academic Enrichment

At Exeter Junior School, we believe that all education should be enriching. Though proud of our history dating back to 1633, wonderful facilities and beautiful buildings, both old and new, we are especially thankful for our staff, who fire an enthusiasm for their subjects every day. A passion for living and learning should be the bedrock of education.

In addition to a wide variety of extra-curricular opportunities within the junior school, we provide specific enrichment activities that are open to all pupils, along with several that are specifically targeted at those who are academically very able and intellectually ambitious. Opportunities include workshops, masterclasses, trips and visits, performances, and a whole range of clubs.

Comets club is part of the whole school’s thriving set of academic societies, hosting events presented by junior and senior school staff, as well as visiting speakers. It provides pupils with extra stretch and breadth in their experiences, understanding and imagination.
