Richard May

Richard is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has his own private practice based in Exeter. He became a Governor in 2016 and sits on the Finance and General Purposes Committee.

Having studied Pure Maths and Statistics at University, Richard joined the Fleet Air Arm as a Naval Officer based in RNAS Culdrose. He later qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and was a partner at Knight Frank before setting up his practice 25 years ago. He now specialises in Planning and Development in the South West as well as Commercial Investment and Occupier Consultancy.

Richard has 4 children who have all attended Exeter School, with the youngest just starting their final year in the Upper Sixth. He enjoys racket ball, padel and skiing as well as spending time on the water.
