CCF held a formal parade to mark the Middle Fifth recruits finishing their recruit training and joining their sections, Navy, Army, Royal Air Force.

Awards were given to the top recruit platoon which this year were Delta Platoon. The group (some of which are pictured) showed excellent teamwork through training and completed their tasks to a high standard. The individual award for top recruit, the bugle, was awarded to Connie. Connie showed dedication, enthusiasm and encouraging leadership skills. She has now joined the Royal Navy Section and is working towards her Junior Cadet award.

At the same parade the three senior cadets were promoted to Cadet Warrant Officer ranks. Martha (Royal Navy), James (Army) and Sarah (Royal Air Force). These are the highest achievable rank for cadets in the CCF and reflect the commitment which the trio have shown since joining as recruits in September 2020. Between them, they have completed senior leadership courses, Day Skipper, Air Cadet Leadership Course, Royal Marines work experience, Gliding Scholarship, Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet for Devon, Army Scholarship, RYA powerboating, First Aid Qualifications and much more. They embody the ethos of committing and achieving.
