Upper Sixth geographers went up to Hinkley Point C nuclear power station to learn about an important A-level case study. We had a lecture, visited the tourist centre, and took a bus tour around the construction site, which is the most secure in the UK! Seeing ‘Big Carl’ was the highlight of the day. It is the world’s largest land-based crane, dressed in with some work gear.
