Our Upper 2 children enjoyed a fabulous Lulworth Cove trip on Tuesday, swapping the classroom for one of the most beautiful spots on the Dorset coast. With the sun shining and the sea sparkling, it was the perfect day to explore.The weather could not have been kinder. The children dipped their toes into the warm water and soaked up the sunshine, and everyone was taken aback by the sheer beauty of Lulworth Cove.
Learning how Lulworth Cove was formed
Our Lulworth Cove trip was about much more than paddling. The children discovered:
- how Lulworth Cove was formed
- how the landscape continues to change
- what its future might look like
Seeing these ideas up close gave our pupils a real understanding of how powerful and ever-changing our coastline can be.
There is nothing quite like standing in the very place you have been learning about. It was wonderful to see the children’s learning come to life in such a spectacular setting, and they returned to school full of new knowledge and happy memories. Well done to all of Upper 2 for being such curious and enthusiastic explorers. What a brilliant day out!
