Two Exeter School pupils have gone head-to-head with entrants from across the region, and come out on top. We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding success of Katya and Benjamin, both in 4F, in the Plymouth University AI Poster Competition.
The competition set entrants a genuinely challenging brief: explore some of the most important issues facing society today, including the impact of artificial intelligence on everyday life and the delicate balance between privacy and security in an increasingly digital world. Rather than shy away from the complexity, pupils were asked to distil these ideas into a single, engaging poster, calling on creativity, critical thinking, and clear communication in equal measure.
For young people growing up alongside AI, this was a chance to turn an everyday reality into a genuine talking point.
Competing against entrants from across a highly competitive field, Katya impressed the judges with a poster that stood out from the crowd, earning her the title of overall winner. It is a brilliant individual achievement, and one that reflects real depth of thought behind the design.
Benjamin was not far behind, securing an excellent second-place finish and further cementing 4F’s strong showing in this year’s competition.
Results like these do not happen by accident. They are the product of curiosity, hard work, and a willingness to engage with difficult, real-world questions rather than easy ones. Katya and Benjamin have done exactly that, and their success is a fantastic reflection of the talent and dedication we see across our pupils every day.
