The Wind in the Willows A Third and Fourth Form Production

Posted: 13th July 2026

Our recent production of The Wind in the Willows was a tremendous success, delighting audiences with a fun, imaginative and energetic performance.

Bringing the unforgettable characters of Toad, Badger, Mole and Rat to life, our talented Third and Fourth Form pupils captivated audiences from the opening scene to the final curtain. Full of humour, adventure and heart, the production showcased not only outstanding performances but also the creativity, confidence and commitment that make school productions so special.

The performance was the culmination of weeks of rehearsals, with pupils working hard to develop their characters, learn their lines and support one another as a cast. Their enthusiasm and teamwork shone through in every scene, creating a polished production that kept audiences entertained throughout.

While the cast took centre stage, an equally dedicated team worked behind the scenes to ensure every performance ran smoothly. Pupils were responsible for lighting, sound and backstage management, demonstrating impressive technical skills and professionalism. Their hard work, alongside the imaginative set design, fantastic costumes and creative make-up, transformed the stage into the enchanting world of The Wind in the Willows and brought Toad’s hilarious adventures to life.

School productions offer pupils so much more than the opportunity to perform. They help build confidence, encourage collaboration and allow every member of the cast and crew to develop valuable skills while working towards a shared goal. It was wonderful to see more than 50 Third and Fourth Form pupils come together to create such an entertaining and memorable production.

A huge congratulations to our incredible cast and crew, whose talent, dedication and enthusiasm made The Wind in the Willows such a success. We are also grateful to our staff and everyone who supported the production, as well as the families and friends who joined us in the audience. It was a fantastic celebration of creativity, teamwork and the vibrant performing arts community at Exeter School.
