Last Friday the Royal Navy CCF section held their first Passing Out Parade, a formal ceremony where new entrants receive their first RN rank slide which marks the completion of Initial Naval training, where new cadets demonstrate drill, discipline, and skills learnt over the past few months.
The Royal Navy section marks this with our Year 10 pupils with a formal parade and pass out ceremony, with the Lower Sixth Ceremonial Guard where they receive their first RN rank slide. This year, the inspecting officer was Lt Adam Horne of the Commando Logistic Regiment Royal Marines. Lt Horne presented rank slides and then gave a very informative talk about his career with Royal Marines to date from Cadet to Warrant Officer and now to Lieutenant. With grateful thanks to Lt Horne and Lt Andy Yarwood RN who made the day a great success.
