Exploring cylinders in maths

Last Friday, Lower Fifth pupils explored the volume and surface area of cylinders through a hands-on practical activity. Using a range of real-life cyclinders – including cake tins, coffee jars and hairspray cans – they took measurements and applied their learning to real-world examples.
