On Friday 27 February, a group of volunteers from the CCF were invited to Hospiscare at Searle House, where the organisation formally signed the Armed Forces Covenant.
Hospiscare has been working closely with colleagues from the Armed Forces to develop its Veterans Aware programme. By signing the Covenant, the organisation reaffirms its commitment to supporting veterans – not only through the patient care pathway, but also through employment opportunities and partnerships with local cadet organisations.
Our cadets were honoured to be invited to attend the event and to witness this important commitment. It was a privilege to be part of such a meaningful occasion and to recognise the dedication of the staff at Hospiscare, who provide outstanding care and support to patients and families during very emotional and challenging times.
