On Monday 5 May, Exeter School was delighted to host the highly anticipated Young Entrepreneurs Final in the Andrews Hall, bringing together pupils, parents, judges and supporters for an inspiring celebration of innovation, creativity and enterprise education.

Developing Real-World Business Skills

The culmination of months of dedication, collaboration and product development, the Young Entrepreneurs programme at Exeter School provides pupils with a valuable opportunity to develop real-world business skills. From initial concept through to branding, marketing and financial planning, pupils are encouraged to think creatively and act entrepreneurially, preparing them for future academic and professional success.

High-Quality Final Presentations

This year’s final saw two outstanding teams go head-to-head, presenting their business ideas to a live audience. Each team delivered a professional pitch, outlining their product development journey, target market, sustainability considerations and long-term business potential. The standard of presentations reflected not only the pupils’ commitment but also the strength of enterprise education at Exeter School.

Expert Judges Offer Industry Insight

The judging panel brought a wealth of expertise and insight. Richard Marsh, representing Exeter Chamber of Commerce, was joined by Emily Peters, an Exeter School alumna and founder of The Udder Stuff. Together, they posed thoughtful and challenging questions during the Q&A sessions, encouraging pupils to demonstrate their understanding of business strategy, sustainability and customer engagement. Their feedback provided invaluable learning opportunities for all involved.

Confident Pupil Hosts Lead the Event

The event was confidently compered by last year’s Young Entrepreneurs winners, Alex L. and Chiara D. Their professionalism, enthusiasm and engaging delivery ensured the event ran smoothly, setting a positive and aspirational tone for the afternoon.

Reverra Wins with Sustainable Innovation

Following two impressive and closely contested presentations, the judges awarded the overall prize to Reverra. Their innovative concept—transforming discarded glass bottles into stylish, sustainable drinking cups—captured the judges’ attention for its originality, environmental awareness and strong commercial potential. The team demonstrated a clear commitment to sustainability, aligning with growing consumer demand for eco-friendly products, and showcased excellent craftsmanship in their finished designs. Judges commended Reverra not only for their final product but for the iterative process they had undertaken to refine their idea and respond to feedback throughout the programme.

Coast to Coast Recognised for Best Presentation

The award for Best Presentation was presented to Coast to Coast, whose personalised coaster business impressed with its polished delivery, confident communication and cohesive brand identity. Their ability to clearly articulate their value proposition and engage the audience highlighted the importance of effective storytelling in entrepreneurship.

Celebrating Enterprise at Exeter School

The Young Entrepreneurs Final at Exeter School once again highlighted the breadth of talent, determination and creativity among pupils. Events such as this form a key part of the school’s commitment to developing confident, capable and forward-thinking individuals, equipping them with skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Exeter School extends its congratulations to both finalist teams and to all pupils who participated in this year’s Young Entrepreneurs programme. Their hard work, resilience and innovative thinking have made this a truly memorable and inspiring year for enterprise education.
