Exeter School’s London Marathon 2026 superstars

Smiling female runner in a green Saskia NSPCC jersey raises her arms as a cheering crowd lines a city street race behind her.
We’re proud to be bringing you our TCS London Marathon 2026 superstars – Mr Munday, Head of Geography and Mrs Van, Head of Exeter Junior School!
Mr Munday ran a 2:45 race an impressive two weeks after becoming a father for the second time and says he felt “very privileged to have been in the same race as Sawe running under 2 hours for the first time”. This will be a great story to tell little Meri when she’s grown.
Mrs Van set an initial fund-raising amount of £2,200 to collect in aid of NSPCC. She now says: “Raising money for NSPCC and looking to hit the £5000 mark is simply amazing. It was a very emotional day (never again!) but the support that I have had from the Exeter School community has been simply amazing. A huge thank you to everyone for their kind well wishes, sponsorship and words of encouragement – I couldn’t have done it without them.”
If you would like to donate, her Just Giving page is still live – the Exeter Pre-Prep School sponsored bounce total is being added in but you can see their reaction to seeing the medal 🤩

Any Exeter School Alumni run the marathon and want to share their story?
