Over the holidays, Lower 2P were given the optional task of following a recipe to create a traditional German birthday cake, named a Gugelhupf.
Some pupils brought their creations into school on Monday to be tasted, and learnt how to ask for a piece of cake, say thank you and sing happy birthday in German (Viel Glück zum Geburtstag!). The word ‘lecker’ was used a lot to describe the delicious cakes. Other pupils took photos of their cakes for us to see, like Josh T’s which you can see below.
