Both the girls’ hockey and netball teams have been busy with cup action this week and we are delighted that the Exeter teams have been incredibly successful. The U16 Netball were successful at the national schools county round on Tuesday, finishing as runners up and qualifying for the regional finals in January. Qualifying is really tough given the quality of netball in the region and this is the first time in a number of years that Exeter have made it through. We wish them well.
The U18 girls’ hockey were also successful in qualifying for the last 32 of the national plate. Following a memorable penalty shuffle win against Millfield last week, they travelled to Southampton to face Barton Peverill College and won 2 – 0 in very cold conditions. We await the draw and our next opponents.
Finally the U12 and U14 Girls hockey were both involved in their county tournaments this week and have been successful in making it to their respective West of England Finals.
