Exeter School is proud to announce the success of the inaugural Young Entrepreneurs Head-to-Head Competition held on Thursday, April 25. The event highlighted the impressive achievements of our Lower Sixth pupils who have dedicated the past year to creating and managing their own businesses.
Throughout the year, these enterprising students have taken on the challenge of establishing their own companies, overseeing every aspect from production to marketing and sales. They’ve successfully raised capital and registered their enterprises as limited liability companies at Companies House.
The competition culminated in an exciting evening where student teams presented their business plans to a distinguished panel of judges, including Richard Marsh, the Head of Exeter Chamber of Commerce; Roger Killen, an Angel Investor; and Claire Baillie, a School Governor. The event provided a platform for students to demonstrate their business acumen and the core values of endeavour and collaboration under the intense scrutiny of our expert judges.
The judges were particularly impressed with Shore Collections, a jewellery making business, awarding it the title of Best Company and Best Presentation. South West Soaps was celebrated for having the Best Journey, marking significant progress from inception to execution.
Exeter School is immensely proud of all participants for their hard work and innovative spirit. This competition not only celebrated their current achievements but also set a robust foundation for their future endeavours in the world of business.
