The school hosted a fabulous day of rugby yesterday with nine visiting schools joining our own U15s to compete in the annual Exeter School 10s.
There was some impressive rugby played throughout the day in challenging conditions with three groups competing for a place in the cup or trophy. The top team in each group qualified for the cup final group.
Wins for Exeter School against Honiton (32-12), St Peter’s (34-5) and Stover (36-5) saw the hosts qualify for the semi-finals where the beat Uffculme in a nail biter (27-22). The final, between Exeter School and Exmouth Community College (a repeat of Tuesday’s national cup match) was a fitting end to an excellent day with the hosts winning 19-12. Congratulations to everyone who competed but a special mention to the U15 squad who won the cup. What a great week!
