Summer success

Posted: 8th September 2023

It’s been great to welcome the pupils back to school this week and we have been delighted to see so many of them attending the pre-season training. Many of our pupils have continued to be successful over the summer break. There has been various cricketing successes with both our male and female cricketers completing successful seasons with Devon Cricket Board. There were Exeter School representatives in both boys and girls sides across all age groups.  A special mention to the Devon U18 girls (which included six current or former pupils) who reached the national final for the second year in a row. Unfortunately, they couldn’t repeat last year’s achievement finishing as runners up. Well done to current pupils Imogen Daldorph & Georgia Read – an amazing achievement.

Evie Handley (L5) has also had an incredible summer in the pool. Evie competed in both the British and English summer championships at Ponds Forge in Sheffield. She performed superbly in 400m freestyle and 200m fly competing with the top ranked swimmers in Britain. She has subsequently been selected for the National age group talent programme for this year We are incredibly proud of her, well done Evie.
