The Assembly Hall experienced its annual transformation into Exeter’s premier night-spot Tamblyn’s, for the Jazz Concert on Tuesday 27 June.
With professional lighting and the school’s pupil sound crew, assisted by Mr Sorlie-Pring, the stage was set for an evening of top quality music, delivered by Jazz Band 1, Jazz Band 2, Le Band, Adomania, Swunk and Swunkette. With some excellent improvised solos and tight ensemble playing across all the groups, the audience were generous with their applause throughout the evening, fuelled by delicious jacket potatoes and assorted toppings, provided by the school catering team.
Congratulations to all the pupils involved on delivering a fantastic evening’s entertainment, and thanks also to the ensemble leaders, all those who assisted behind the scenes and to Mr Bowen for masterminding the event once again.
