Visiting the school
The Headmaster is delighted to welcome visiting parents wishing to discuss matters and take a tour of the school. The Junior School Headmistress will, similarly, be very happy to meet with parents of younger children. Parents wishing to make a personal visit should telephone for an appointment: Senior School: 01392 273679; Junior School: 01392 258738.
Open Evenings are held annually in July and September and families and their friends are most welcome to attend these events, for which no reservation is required. Staff and pupils are on hand to discuss different aspects of the school and to guide visitors around the Junior and Senior School areas.
On three afternoons during the Autumn Term the Junior School opens its doors for parents of prospective pupils to see the school at work.
In January the Into the Sixth Form evening offers an opportunity for visitors from Years 10 and 11 to discover more about the Sixth Form life and A Level subject options.
Each year during November there are a number of opportunities for prospective pupils to visit the school. The Junior School offers a day of activities for 6 - 8 year olds (7+ and 8+) and a day of activities for 8 - 9 year olds (9+); there is a Familiarisation Morning for 10 - 11 year olds to find out about the school and what to expect in the entrance examination and also a 'day in school' for 12 - 13 year olds. Those considering Exeter School for their A Level studies are invited to a day finding out about life in the Sixth Form.
