Learning Support

Exeter School is committed to providing support for those of its pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Our Learning Support Coordinators are Mrs Sian Oliver (Junior School and Third to Fourth Forms) and Mrs Anne Reeves (Lower Fifth to Upper Sixth Forms). They coordinate provision for pupils with individual needs and are in regular contact with parents, our pastoral and academic staff as well as outside agencies.

In addition to this specialist support, Exeter School requires all staff to develop an awareness of SEN. Individual strategy sheets are produced by the Learning Support Coordinators for all pupils on the Learning Support register. These provide background information, strengths, areas of need and strategies for supporting specific needs.

The Learning Support Coordinators also liaise directly with the Examinations Office to ensure that access arrangements (e.g. extra time) are in place for public examinations as appropriate.
