Ruth Vigers

Ruth Vigers is Chair of the Welfare and Safeguarding Committee. She is also on the Junior School and Governance Committees and Nominated Safeguarding Governor.

She was educated at Queen Elizabeth School, Crediton and trained as a nurse at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. The last 24 years of her career have been spent in Intensive Care, where she is currently working as a Clinical Practice Educator.

Ruth is a Trustee and Treasurer of St Luke’s Proprietary Chapel, Posbury, a member of Crediton Benefice Community Council and a supporter of the Young Farmers Organisation. When time allows she enjoys reading, travel and skiing.

She also has a range of business interests including residential letting, forestry and farming.

All three of her children have made the full journey through both the Junior and Senior School.
