Catherine Gibaud is a barrister and KC, practising at Gray’s Inn and specialising in commercial litigation and advisory work. She became a Governor in March 2017, is Chair of the Welfare and Safeguarding Committee and sits on the Education Committee.
Before coming to the Bar Ms Gibaud obtained an honours degree in Actuarial Science (with Economics and Statistics), trained as an actuary and worked in the Corporate Finance and Advisory division of Ernst & Young in the City of London.
As well as holding numerous legal appointments, Ms Gibaud has previously been Chair of Governors at a Ted Wragg Trust school and Co-Chair of Governors of a federation of schools in the maintained sector.
Married to a barrister and KC, she has three children, the youngest of whom is in the sixth form at Exeter School. The family is based in Devon but maintain legal practices in London.
