Pre-Prep Reflections Week 14 December 2024
Dear parents,
What an exciting final week of term it has been, with Christmas festivities taking centre stage as usual! Thank you so much to everyone who has sent in cards and gifts over the last couple of weeks to me and the rest of the team. We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and thoughtfulness. Your kind words mean so much and have definitely kept us going through this very busy time of year.
On Monday, the children and staff looked wonderful in their Christmas jumpers and I finally got round to meeting with the school council reps again. Yesterday afternoon, the whole school gathered in the hall to watch ‘The National Elf Service’, a Christmas pantomime about the importance of healthy living, performed once again by the excellent Tip of the Iceberg Theatre Company.
This morning, we welcomed our drama club teacher Ruth Lawrence into school to lead a special reindeer-themed Christmas party for all the children in the hall. As usual, it was fantastic fun and each class left with a sack full of presents to share out. We hope the children enjoy sharing their new Christmas story books with you over the holidays.
You may have heard that we have had lots of children off sick this week and we wish them all a speedy recovery. I hope everyone gets some time to rest and recharge over the break, ready for further adventures in 2025! We look forward to seeing you again on Monday 6 January for the start of the spring term.
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
