In German with the Lower Two we have been learning the months of the year and how to say when your birthday was. An optional homework was to make a traditional German birthday cake, a Gugelhupf. These two girls brought theirs in to share. Mabel went down the traditional route. Mrs Wilson tried a piece of hers and said it was delicious and very moist! Lizzie decorated hers with marble chocolate, icing and Bavarian decorations (Wurst, Bretzel, traditionellen Hut). The class sampled the cake, learning how to ask for a piece and say thank you.
