Night of the Fox 🦊🎭
After a successful run at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, Aquila Youth Theatre will perform Night of the Fox on 18th September at 6.30pm in the Drama Studio. 19 Exeter School pupils took part in the production in August and the reviews and feedback to the show ...were outstanding.
Night of the Fox tells the story of Attie, a boy who can’t stop dreaming of a truth-teller who lives deep in the woods, a mysterious fox-like figure said to reveal who you really are. When Attie dares to summon him, he is pulled into the fox’s secret realm. As his peers struggle with a sudden social media ban, they must venture into the forest if they are to bring him home safely. In a place where every truth must be spoken aloud, saving Attie may come at a cost.
Tickets are £5 and can be booked via the school box office, book now so you do not miss out!
We were delighted to welcome back two of our alumni, Sidney (2014–2025) and Tom (2016–2025), last week, ahead of their return for the second year of their degree courses.
Taking time out of their own studies, Sidney and Tom came back to Exeter School to share excellent first-hand tips ...and advice on navigating the first year of university life.
Their visit marked the launch of this year's Upper Sixth Futures Programme, giving our current pupils invaluable insight from those who have so recently walked the same path from school to university. It's a wonderful example of the strong connections our alumni continue to have with Exeter School, and how willing they are to give back and support the next generation of pupils.
A huge thank you to Sidney and Tom for their time. We wish you both every success as you head into your second year!

We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding success of our students in the Plymouth University AI Poster Competition.
The competition challenged students to explore important contemporary issues, including the impact of Artificial Intelligence on everyday life and the balance between ...privacy and security in an increasingly digital world. Entrants were encouraged to demonstrate creativity, critical thinking, and strong communication
skills through the design of an informative and engaging poster.
We are especially proud to announce that Katya 4F was crowned the overall winner, while Benjamin 4F achieved an excellent second-place finish in a highly competitive field. They both impressed the judges with their exceptional posters.
This fantastic achievement highlights the talent, creativity, and dedication of our students, as well as their ability to engage thoughtfully with real-world
technological challenges. Congratulations to both students on their well-deserved success and for representing the school so brilliantly.

Winning Bronze 🥉
Omar and Penelope were both selected from just 20 boys and girls from across the Home Nations to attend the @schoolgames Finals and compete in the triathlon!
The event was held over four days at Loughborough University, where various NGBs, including British ...Triathlon, selected some of the best young athletes from across the four Home Nations to compete and represent their region or nation.
Being part of the “Wildcard Team” made the experience even more special. And then, with Omar taking his turn and racing the final straight, it was incredible! 🙌
To come away with a Bronze medal was an amazing achievement, not only for Omar and Penelope, but for the whole team.
Huge congratulations to them both this is an achievement they should be incredibly proud of! 🏊♂️🚴♂️🏃♂️

What a fantastic day of sport! 🏑🏉
Over the weekend it was brilliant to see so many of our younger players getting involved in a fantastic weekend of hockey and rugby.
As part of the Welcome to Sport event, our younger players had the opportunity to take part in sessions led ...by our senior players, who shared their skills, knowledge and enthusiasm for the sports. It was fantastic to see our senior players stepping up as leaders and supporting the next generation of players.
A massive thank you to our Grounds Team for all their hard work in getting the fields and facilities ready ahead of the start of the school year. We would also like to thank all the staff involved in supporting the events and helping to make the weekend such a success.
It was a fantastic way to get the new sporting year underway 👏
