Mini bus driver

We are seeking a reliable and friendly mini bus driver to transport our students safely to and from school in Exeter. This is a part-time position, perfect for those looking for short, flexible hours during term time.  There are morning and afternoon shifts available (circa 10 hours p/wk both am and pm) for school drop off and pickups Monday through Friday. Facilities Assistant – minibus driver (VNOPS10)

Exeter School is the leading co-educational day school in the Southwest, educating over 1,000 pupils aged 3-18. We are looking to appoint a Facilities Assistant – minibus driver to join our school, a school of great character, to start immediately.

This post will support the smooth daily running of our busy independent school. This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys variety—preparing classrooms and event spaces, assisting with deliveries, carrying out site checks and housekeeping, and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

A key part of the job is transporting pupils to and from school. You’ll carry out basic vehicle checks, keep the minibus clean and ready, and ensure pupils travel safely and behave appropriately. Good communication skills and a calm, practical approach are essential.

Shifts run Monday to Friday, either 06:30–14:00 or 11:00–19:00, with opportunities for additional hours. The rate of pay is £13.50 per hour.

We’re looking for someone organised, enthusiastic and punctual, with an eye for detail and the ability to work well within a team. A full UK driving licence with D1 category is required. A First Aid qualification and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge are welcome additions.

This role is part of our Operations and Professional Services team. This is full time role (37.5 hours per week, year-round). Year 1 teacher (maternity cover)

We are looking for a fixed term, part-time Year 1 class teacher to cover maternity leave, working 3 days a week, Mondays to Wednesdays. The post is available from 23 February 2026 until 8 July 2026, teaching at Exeter Pre-Prep School in Exminster. Class sizes are usually 18-20 children with full-time TA assistance and the support of a happy, collaborative team. Applicants will hold a relevant teaching qualification and have experience of working in Key Stage 1 and/or Early Years.

We are seeking a capable and enthusiastic person who has strong communication skills and a willingness to contribute to the broader life of this vibrant independent day school.  As a small, busy school where everyone pitches in, the need to be a flexible, adaptable, reliable and punctual team player will be paramount. An enthusiastic, “can do” approach, together with patience, a sense of humour and the ability to maintain confidentiality will be essential.

Teacher of PE (part-time)

We are looking to appoint a fixed term, part-time (circa 60%) Teacher of PE to join our school, a school of great character. This post is available for six or twelve-month period from January 2026.

We are seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher in this thriving and successful team. This part-time role would suit either a recently qualified teacher or a more experienced applicant. Please note applicants will have an allocation of both Saturday and evening fixtures.
The PE department is made up of nine full-time and two part time physical education teachers who are supported by members of academic staff in coaching games and a number of external coaches. All members of the department are expected to teach across all three sections of the school: pre-prep (Reception – Year 2), junior school (Years 3-6) and senior school (Years 7-13).
Applicants should be able to teach PE and Games across Years 3–13 and confidently deliver a range of sports and curriculum activities. Experience and enthusiasm for coaching our core girls’ sports—hockey, tennis, netball and cricket—are essential. The role includes contributing to the wider sports programme at lunchtimes, after school and at weekends, as well as organising tennis fixtures in the summer term. It also involves providing visible lunchtime supervision to support pupil safety.
Pupils at Exeter School have timetabled PE and Games from Year 3–9, with curriculum games continuing through Years 10–13. Our extensive extra-curricular programme includes lunchtime and after-school clubs, specialist sessions and regular fixtures. We field competitive teams in hockey, netball and cricket for girls, and rugby, hockey and cricket for boys, alongside squads in athletics, cross country, football, swimming and squash. Matches take place during the week and at weekends, with opportunities for all pupils through block fixtures and house competitions. Facilities include 25 acres of playing fields, a floodlit astro, swimming pool, sports hall, and a refurbished gym, studio and aerobics room.
