The schools’ rugby and hockey teams have had an incredibly busy time of late with mid-week and weekend fixtures throughout November. Last weekend saw the rugby teams compete against local rivals Plymouth College and there were superb performances from the U15A, U13A and U12A who produced some of their best rugby this season. A special mention to the U15As who thrived in the muddy conditions to win 49 – 0 against a strong Plymouth College side.
The girls’ hockey squads have also shown their ability recently with mid-week performances throughout the age groups against Plymouth College and The Maynard as well as weekend blocks featuring Shebbear and West Buckland. We also look forward to hearing about the results of the U14 west finals and the U11 IAPS finals, with Exeter teams representing in both. In fact it’s been a brilliant half term of girls’ cup hockey with the U18 Girls Hockey reaching the last 32 of the national plate, the U16 Girls Hockey making it to the last 16 of the national cup and both the U12 and U14 Girls hockey making it to their respective West of England Finals.
