Upper Two (Year 6) pupils who took part in Comets Club this week had a fantastic time exploring the Sierpinski Triangle. Led by Mr Hall in the Senior School, the children were fascinated to discover the relationships between the patterns and the number of triangles involved.
They created their own fractals, never-ending patterns that repeat at any scale, and used colour to showcase their designs. They also learned about the Koch snowflake, another type of fractal, before being challenged to create the snowflake for themselves. Their designs look great, and they were intrigued to learn about the maths involved.
Well done, Comets club!
