It’s been a brilliant week of senior girls’ sport with both the U16 hockey team and U14 & U16 netball squads in national cup action. On Tuesday the school hosted the U16 district tournament of the nationals with the winners progressing to the county round. The girls were in excellent form winning all four of their matches including a convincing win against a Maynard side who had beaten them earlier in the term. The U14s were also successful in their tournament held at Blundell’s going through in similar fashion winning all of their matches. We look forward to the county rounds for both age groups after the half term break. We also had cup action for the U16 girls with Sherbourne Girls’ visiting on Wednesday. Exeter used their home advantage to great effect winning 5-1 to book a place in the next round. It rounded off a memorable half term of girls’ sport at Exeter School.
