Exeter School athletes have enjoyed an outstanding few weeks of competition. They achieved excellent results at the Mount Kelly Trophy, the Devon Schools Championships and the South West Schools Championships.
Our pupils excelled in both track and field events. Their success reflects their talent, determination and commitment, with many winning medals and progressing to the next stage of competition.
Medal Success at the Mount Kelly Trophy
Exeter School athletes produced an excellent team performance at the Mount Kelly Trophy, winning an impressive total of 16 medals:
- 8 gold medals
- 5 silver medals
- 3 bronze medals
These results are a testament to the hard work and dedication shown throughout the athletics season. Congratulations to every pupil who competed and represented Exeter School with pride.
As a result of their first-place finishes, several athletes have qualified for the National Prep Schools Athletics Championships, taking place on Wednesday. We wish them every success as they compete against the country’s leading young athletes.
Success at the Devon and South West Schools Championships
Our pupils also performed exceptionally well at the Devon Schools Championships and the South West Schools Championships.
We are delighted to congratulate:
- Becky M. Who qualified in the 400m hurdles.
- Rory B.W. Who qualified in the 3000m.
- Penny B. Who qualified in the 3000m.
All three athletes have been selected to represent Devon Schools at the English Schools Track and Field Championships on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 July.
