Victor Cross captivated our Comets group yesterday with an enthralling session on his Dartmoor adventures. He delved into Dartmoor’s history, sharing insights from years of guiding groups across its terrain. His talk covered the fascinating journey of Dartmoor granite, its role in Plymouth pavements, and its diverse applications.
Pupils tried on suitable walking gear for Dartmoor, and Victor expertly educated them on identifying key features and observing closely. The children were spellbound with the stories and legends that Victor told, soaking up knowledge to share with their families. Hopefully, this will spark even more Dartmoor hikes for our community!
